Kick off new DeltaBrain Projects

Join our 3-day workshop (September 8-10) and get started with improving your design and prediction models.

The DeltaBrain-team invites all Deltares colleagues with innovative ideas in learning from data to subscribe.

We aim to provide:

• Experiencing the concept of DeltaBrain
• Ideas how to make use of expertise, experience and predictions for decision making and control.
• a bird-eye view and hands on experience in machine learning techniques such as:
  o Neural Networks
  o Genetic Algorithms
  o Bayesian Belief Networks
  o Decision Tree Learning
  o Fuzzy Logic
• information exchange with colleagues from several disciplines

We focus on challenges within ill-defined problem-domains and projects with large uncertainties involved. Think of heterogeneity, morphology, ecological questions and so on. The workshop will have a highly interactive character, so you can bring your problem/project with you. No programming experience is required, although a little background will be helpful.

We will mainly work with MatLab. If you are not familiar with the language a short introduction on the first evening will be provided.
