assignment/short description
Coastal erosion and erosion of river embankments endangers both primary roads and private property in
Suriname. In order to design new sea and river dikes, Suriname Engineering Consultants (SUNECON)
commissioned Deltares to carry out a numerical study to assess extreme hydraulic boundary conditions
for a sea dike in the Coronie district and river dikes along the Suriname and Commewijne rivers.
