Introduction to Coastal Hydro- & Morphodynamic Modeling

Deltares is proud to announce two stand-alone software courses that will be run 24-25 June 2017 in Cairns, Australia. Our own coastal modelling experts will teach you everything you need to get kickstarted in three state-of-the-art Deltares software packages that are used by coastal engineers and managers all around the world: Delft3D, XBeach and Delft-FEWS. Of course you can also bring your own model to discuss with our experts!

Deltares Software Training in Australia:

Introduction in Storm-Induced Hydro- and Morphodynamic Modelling

Saturday, 24 June 2017, Cairns (Qld), Australia
This training will not only cover the basics for setting up a large scale hydrodynamic (tide and surge) model in the new Delft3D FM Suite, but also the set up of a detailed hydro-morphodynamic model using XBeach. Through a combination of lectures and hands-on exercises, the participant will learn how to set up a coupled modelling system that can be used to study detailed coastal morphodynamics, including beach and dune erosion.

Introduction in Operational Forecasting with Delft3D Flexible Mesh

Sunday, 25 June 2017, Cairns (Qld), Australia
This training will provide the basic skills for setting up a hydrodynamic (tide and surge) model in the new Delft3D FM Suite, and for setting up an operational forecasting system using Delft-FEWS.
