Delft-FEWS – New Functionality Course
The content of the course will be for Delft-FEWS configurators that have more advanced Delft-FEWS configuration experience. The level will be for all that have followed at least the Delft-FEWS basic course and one of the advanced configuration courses. We will cover topics like use of CSV meta data files, management and automated generation of locationSets, use of location attributes in transformations and Thresholds, display of data in Spatial, Ensemble, Time Series and Dashboard displays.
Delft-FEWS is a software package developed by Deltares to provide an easy and modular way of setting up operational forecasting systems. Due to the modular approach Delft-FEWS allows you to plug in a wide range of data sources, models and data types. This can all be configured in the Delft-FEWS configuration files.
Aim of the course
After taking this course the participants have a good understanding of new functionality that is developed for some recent larger Delft-FEWS projects. The course is especially relevant for Delft-FEWS intermediates that develop Delft-FEWS systems for their clients.
In this course the participants learn:
- How to simplify the Delft-FEWS configuration using location attributes
- How to generate locationSets from location attributes
- How to configure and display thresholds
- How to configure and set-up ARMA models
- How to use the new Spatial Display functionality
- How to make Ensemble Postage Stamp displays
- How to make Dashboard displays.
