Training Python Scripting in Delft3D Flexible Mesh

Python Scripting within Delta Shell enhances the capabilities for running automated model batches, quickly recovering large amounts of data from multiple sources (including servers) and adding them to your models, or easily programming multiple runs (such as sensitivity analysis or model calibration).

Scripting within Delta Shell enhances the capabilities for running automated model batches, quickly recovering large amounts of data from multiple sources (including servers) and adding it to your models, or easily programming multiple runs (such as sensitivity analysis or model calibration). Additionally, it is currently possible to create libraries of definitions on which to continue developing new higher level scripts. These library scripts can also be easily shared.

Training content

This training course gives the participants hands-on experience on scripts of different levels. During the training, you will learn how to create scripts that improve the workflow of modeling at all stages. You will also see how to set up a script that can interactively visualize the output for a better model inspection and gain hands-on experience with examples of scripts to modify the interface, for example in order to highlight the most desired functionalities. Participants will learn how they can speed up and enhance their modeling experience by using Python in Delta Shell.

Who can participate?

This Python scripting training is meant for people who do have some Delta Shell experience. Basic Python knowledge can be very useful. All users who want to improve their workflow and are eager to use Python will benefit from the traning.
