Frans Hamer has a MSc. Degree from the University of Delft and over 25 years of experience in national and international projects. He gained his professional experience in national and international research projects, realization of complex civil/coastal engineering works, water sector policy making and the management of multidisciplinary programs on port development.
His particular area of expertise is coastal engineering, river engineering, dredging, cost engineering, flood protection, probabilistic design, port development and water policy. He has lectured on coastal engineering and probabilistic design at the International Institute for Infrastructure, Hydraulic and Environmental Engineering (IHE) at Delft and at the University of Delft in the Netherlands.
