Our Impact Report is published at a time when climate change, extreme weather events, geopolitical uncertainty and rapid digitalisation are having a profound impact on societies worldwide. It is precisely in this dynamic context that it becomes clear that societal impact does not emerge overnight. Impact is often built gradually, from research and innovation to implementation in policy and practice and may only become visible years later.
Ambitions
The report shows how knowledge development and collaboration contribute to Deltares’ five strategic ambitions: liveable deltas, safer from flooding, healthy water and subsurface systems, energy transition and climate neutrality and resilient infrastructure.
At Deltares, our knowledge development is focused on practical application: that is where impact is made. This often requires long-term commitment and close collaboration with the parties that translate our knowledge and innovations into investments, policy and implementation. In this report, we demonstrate how Deltares is working with partners to build a sustainable future for deltas and communities worldwide
