Assessment of the platform level : technical feasibility study Borssele 2

The Ministry of Economic Affairs and Climate (EZK) commissioned three vendors to perform a Technical Feasibility Study (TFS) for a second nuclear power plant next to the existing nuclear power plant at Borssele. Intermediate results of (parts of) this TFS from the vendors show considerable variation in the way the safety against flooding is addressed. This report provides an intermediate advice for EZK in guiding the vendors in their approach to determine the platform level in view of the hydraulic loads. This report does not provide an advised design value of the platform level, or a simple set of advised design rules, or a review on the analyses of the vendors.
