Evaluation of existing green infrastructure in New Orleans, including rain gardens, bioswales and permeable pavement, focusing on hydraulic performance, design, maintenance and cost-effectiveness. Field infiltration tests show that most rain gardens function adequately, while permeable pavements often underperform and lack maintenance. Concludes that larger-scale blue-green interventions and an integrated, cost-effective network approach are required to significantly improve flood resilience.
