Site information package : gap analysis

The Ministry of Economic Affairs requested Deltares to set up a gap analysis as part of the site selection and technical feasibility phase for the development of two nuclear powerplants in the Netherlands. The scope of the gap analysis is limited to geological, geotechnical and geohydrological aspects. The main goal of the gap analysis is to identify incomplete data for the conceptual design phase. The gap analysis can be used to start the procurement of additional site investigations. The gap analysis is done for three sites, Terneuzen Site 1B, Eemshaven Site 1B and Maasvlakte II. These sites were selected for the current analysis due to limited existing data compared to the other candidate locations.
