Derk van Ree
Senior specialist on sustainable development of the subsurface
Derk van Ree is senior specialist in the environmental sciences related to soil and groundwater issues with a focus on the built environment including environmental impact assessment and sustainable development. He has a wide experience in project management, consultancy and management of research including a range of European FP5, FP6 and FP7-projects related to his field of expertise. Most recently as project coordinator of the EU-FP7 project FLOODPROBE related to flood protection of the build environment. He is co-author of the book Sustainable Development and Management of the Shallow Subsurface (Geological Society Londen, 2012). He was involved in the development of the European ETV pilot program resulting from ETAP in (European) research projects in the field of soil- and groundwater.
