About Bastiaan Jackson

Bastiaan Jackson has extensive experience in mechanical engineering (worldwide). He is capable of designing a test setup from start to finish and building it with his colleagues in the workshop. In collaboration with the client, he assesses what is possible with current technology, the requested delivery time, and the lifespan of a test setup. Prior to his Bachelor's degree in Mechatronics, he completed an MBO degree in Electrical Engineering. This combination enables him to liaise effectively between the client and employees on the work floor. Since early 2024, Bastiaan has been part of the core team designing a test setup for the Oosterschelde storm surge barrier.

The assignment was to convert old 2D drawings into 3D and turn them into a usable product. In addition, he was also tasked with designing a power frame to hold a slide.
