About Femke Verhaart

Femke Verhaart serves as a senior consultant specialised in hydraulic challenges related to pipeline systems, pumping stations, hydraulic structures, and intake and outfall constructions. Her extensive expertise lies in conducting physical model testing within our test facilities, next to getting valuable insights into the hydraulic behavior of (existing) pipeline systems.

Femke primarily works on solutions for resilient urban (underground) infrastructure. She currently focuses providing system owners the knowledge and tools to make their wastewater transport system future-proof. She serves as the point of contact for the Capwat community, provides specialized advice, initiates research projects, and serves as a lecturer in training courses. Additionally, Femke is one of the contributors to the ANSI/HI 9.8 standard, the worldwide applied standard for pumping station design.
