About Hans de Vroeg

Hans de Vroeg has more than 35 years of professional experience in coastal and offshore morphology. During that time, he has participated as a project manager or as a team member in a wide variety of consultancy projects worldwide. He has extensive experience with various numerical models and specializes in coastal morphology, with a special focus on coastal impact studies and beach design. He is also involved in the development and validation of coastline modelling software.

In addition to numerical modelling, he has experience with physical model studies (scale models) related to dune erosion, the development of coastal profiles and the design of breakwaters.

With his long experience, Hans de Vroeg is often involved in (expert) desk studies and internal and external reviews of studies related to coastal morphology and coastal protection. He has carried out various projects abroad, in multidisciplinary project teams.
