About Ligaya Wopereis
Ligaya Wopereis is a researcher/advisor in the field of flood management. She obtained her master's degree in Hydraulic Engineering, specializing in flood risk, at Delft University of Technology (TU Delft). She has built experience in predicting the failure behavior of dikes by running numerical models and analyzing field and lab experiments. In this way, she contributes to the mission: "Better protected against floods." See publications for an overview of Conference publications Ligaya was involved in.
Currently, Ligaya still works part-time at Deltares because she has started her PhD at TU Delft. Her research focuses on quantifying the impact of climate change on the flood risk of the southwestern delta, developing adaptation strategies and creating adaptation pathways.
