About Lorinc Meszaros
Lőrinc Mészáros holds a PhD in Applied Statistics from the Delft University of Technology. He is a research advisor in marine and coastal systems. He has wide experience in co-designing and building digital services in the coastal ocean using numerical modelling outputs and remote sensing.
He is member of the Copernicus Marine Service Champion User Advisory Group, and the EuroGOOS Coastal Working Group. He has taken project lead, data science and technology advisory roles in numerous EU funded projects where digital services were utilized to serve end-user needs. Outside of the EU, he has experience in Africa (Sahel region and North Africa), the Caribbean (Dutch Caribbean), and Asia (Bangladesh and Indonesia).
He is currently leading Deltares contribution to the Horizon Europe EDITO-Model Lab project that provides the engine for the European Digital Twin Ocean.
