About Matthijs Huisman

Since October 2023, Matthijs Huisman has been working at Deltares in a dual role: as scrum master and DevOps engineer. He is passionate about ensuring that the team works well together and that the software is actually used. In his work, he connects people, processes, and technology with the aim of contributing to a safe and livable Netherlands.

Although he has a background in software development, he immediately felt at home with Deltares' mission: Enabling Delta Life. As Matthijs himself says: “When I saw the flood defenses closing during a storm, I realised: this is my job. It matters!”
