About Nienke Kramer
Nienke Kramer holds a Master’s degree in Hydrology from Delft University of Technology and is a Senior Advisor in the Flood Risk Management (FRM) department at Deltares. She supports the development of water management and flood risk policy by translating technical analyses into insights for decision-making and practice. Her expertise includes statistical data analysis, probabilistic modelling, and risk assessment.
At Deltares, she has contributed to a wide range of programmes and projects for the Dutch government, focusing on uncertainty, climate change, and long-term developments to support robust and future-proof decision-making. Her work is characterised by a strong interdisciplinary approach, integrating expertise from hydrology, meteorology, hydraulic boundary conditions, and hydraulic structures.
