About Nino Zuiderwijk

Nino Zuiderwijk, works in the H2i department at Deltares, focusing on hydraulic structures such as locks, weirs, and storm surge barriers. His work contributes directly to Deltares’ mission of Enabling Delta Life by ensuring these critical water infrastructures operate reliably within complex delta systems. Through numerical models, quick assessment tools, and scale model experiments, he helps develop sustainable solutions that keep delta regions safe and livable in the face of climate change, decrease in marine biodiversity, salt intrusion and rising sea levels.
