About Richard Marijnissen
Richard works as a PostDoc in the European RESTCOAST project. Here he develops future scenario’s for the Ems estuary using a morphological Delft3D-FM model of the region. With this, he is exploring various combinations of climate scenario’s and large-scale nature restoration strategies to aid in the development of adaptation pathways fort he region. Additionally, he collaborates with experts across Europe to aid in adaptation across European nature restoration sites. Aside from expertise in morphology and nature restoration, Richard has a PhD in combining these features in the assessment of innovative coastal defence structures like the Wide Green Dike or Double Dike.
