About Sepehr Eslami Arab
Sepehr Eslami has 15+ years of experience from marine contracting to consultancy and academia. He is a senior advisor in fluvial, coastal and estuarine systems with a wide experience worldwide, especially in Vietnam. At Deltares, he works on managing multi-disciplinary projects addressing geoscientific dynamics of deltas in the context of global change. With deep understanding of complex environmental systems, he has advised/lead a wide range of projects with different scopes (from research and development to implementation) in Europe, South East Asia and the Middle East. His technical experience extends from numerical modelling and data analytics to field experiments, pilot projects and implementation advice.
Over the past 10 years, he has dedicated much of his time, leading research and consultancy projects in the Vietnamese Mekong Delta facing the changing climate and environment, reflected in stellar publications and groundbreaking projects on hydrodynamic, sediment and salinity dynamics in the delta. As a member of Netherlands Centre for Coastal Research (NCK) his interests are in connecting deep understanding of environmental systems dynamics to multi-disciplinary strategic and solution-oriented adaptation efforts.
