About Ted Buskop

As a PhD candidate, Ted Buskop develops applicable climate information for regions, with a central role in the European CLIMAAX initiative. He supports regional Climate Risk Assessments by co-developing the CLIMAAX Digital Handbook and Toolbox with partners. These provide regions with practical tools to map their risks. His goal is to translate complex climate data into usable insights for policy, adaptatie plans, and investment decisions.

His research focuses on methods that make uncertainty explicit, understandable, and manageable for decision-making. This includes scenario selection based on regionally relevant climate variables, plausibilistic approaches, analyses of cascading risks, and the use of large ensembles. He applies these methods to floods, water availability, irrigation, and agricultural production.
