The teams in his department develop software that can simulate technical and environmental issues in urbanising deltas, with the focus on user interfaces for scientific software and serious gaming.
As programme manager Software Innovation he is responsible for R&D hydrodynamic and geotechnical software, as well as the exploration of new technologies.
He qualified as an environmental engineer at Wageningen University, with a specialisation in chemical and ecological modelling of surface waters.
