Application for SME facilities challenge Deltares opened
Deltares is once again opening its doors to innovative initiatives from Dutch start-ups and SMEs. After four successful editions in previous years, Deltares will offer free access to its experimental facilities in 2024. This initiative aims to increase interaction with SMEs.
What is the SME challenge?
The SME Challenge enables entrepreneurs to use Deltares' Hydro and Geo facilities and laboratories. Here, design concepts of innovations can be tested. This access to state-of-the-art research facilities allows SMEs or startups to further develop and optimise their ideas.
Earlier, Coaststruction won the SME challenge. Coaststruction designs, manufactures and installs 3D printed artificial reefs to help protect vulnerable coastlines. In the Deltalife, they share the results of their latest tests at Deltares.
Deltares has provided us with extensive knowledge in hydrodynamics, waves, sediment transport, morphology and ecology. Their guidance and expertise have been crucial to our development
