The main purpose of the new IJkdijk experiment in 2012 is to test the predictive power of full-service levee sensor systems, i.e. sensors combined with data processing and an information system producing a timely, reliable warning in case failure may occur. This report describes the design of the Sensor Validation Test, with an emphasis on the geotechnical aspects.
